Pebble Tide

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Pebble Tide sits somewhere between a puzzle and a light strategy game. Each turn you drop a stone and the tide reacts, and your goal is to guide water toward little pools of seedlings before the level dries out.

The tension comes from planning around tides you can't fully predict. Early on it feels forgiving, but the later islands demand you read the currents like a chess board. I lost a few times and never blamed the game.

There's a daily challenge that gives you one fresh island each morning, which became a small ritual for me. It's the sort of thing that keeps a game on your home screen for months.
